A Brief History

Cemsan was founded in 1982 as a trading company in a small office located in the old city of Istanbul. Back then company was exporting consumer goods of any kind to both to overseas countries such as  Australia and also to neighboring countries such as Iraq and European countries. But Cemsan switched its path to garment industry by completing its fully integrated circular knitting garment factory in 1986. This factory with a team of 300 people achieved great success, earning tax records and awards during 80's and 90's. During 2000's given market conditions Cemsan decided to move part of its production to subcontractors, gradually decreasing its in-house production capacity. With such decision Cemsan was able to widen its vision, adding flat knitting to its product range where it saw better profitability.
